Glazing Options

CrystaLite offers a choice of attractive colors. Clear for clarity and maximum heat and light transmission. Bronze for a clear view with reduced heat and UV ray transmission to help protect carpets, walls and upholstery from fading. White for privacy and reduced heat and light transmission. Custom Colors available upon request.

Not all glass is the same.

Different insulated glass components such as tinted, low-E, and laminated safety glass; will effect the thermal performance of the skylite. Tinted glass absorbs the heat. Low-E will reflect both the transfer of heat into the home and the loss of heat inside the home, which stabilizes both heat loss and heat gain. Laminated safety glass has a thin layer of vinyl in between the glass (PVB) that acts as break for transmission of heat into and exiting the home, absorbs harmful UV rays, and helps reduced sound transmittance.

Low E Glazing  low emissivity

This helps keep your home cooler in the summer and warmer in the winter. Insulated glass units utilizing Low E coatings are combined with argon gas fill for optimal thermal performance. Insulated glass featuring Low E coatings with argon fill are energy efficient, have greater UV performance, increased control of solar radiation, and reduced heat transmittance (U-factor).
