An installer-friendly attic ventilator that performs well in any environment. By incorporating the highest quality material coupled with a superb quality assurance program ensures the best product available on the market today.
The Solar Attic Fan is designed to save energy and money. The two main purposes for roof ventilation are to reduce the load on the HVAC system in the summer and to exhaust moisture in the winter. The solar panel mounted on the shroud of the unit converts sunlight into energy driving the fan motor, which in turn exhausts the hot/moist air out of the attic. No permits or wiring needed, no electrician required for proper installation, the Solar Attic Fan is a self-contained unit; fully operational right out of the box. The unit is capable of venting an attic space up to 1200 square feet.
Many other fans have the solar panel incorporated into the fan housing, often leaving you to compromise between the best venting location and the best solar exposure direction. We have designed a mounting bracket that not only lets you align the panel to the best solar collection angle, but also allows you to mount it directly to the roof, remote from the fan itself. With CrystaLite, you can place your vent where you need it most and your panel where it will work the best.
As the exhaust travels through the vent it can build up pressure within, making it work less efficiently. CrystaLite’s engineered design minimizes all obstructions in the flashing and shroud and incorporates an angled throat to facilitate a venturi effect or suction effect to increase air flow. This design improvement not only reduced wear on the motor but increased average cfm output!
As a solar panel heats up it becomes less efficient at converting light to energy. CrystaLite’s panel mounting bracket allows for cooling air circulation around the panel and the entire fan housing is powder coated in a neutral gray to reflect heat rather than absorb it.
