Certifications
CrystaLite skylights are NAMI certified and NFRC rated for thermal performance; U-factor, SHGC, and VT (visible light transmittance). Skylights are NAMI certified to the NAFS Standard for air infiltration, water penetration, & structural loading; commonly referred to as ‘AAMA Testing.’

Design Loads
Design loads (downward pressure) established by certification to the NAFS Standard include a 200% safety factor. All standard glass glazed skylights are certified to 85 psf design loads. Plastic glazing certification various depending on size and configuration.
Snow / High Loads
CrystaLite’s 5842, 3962, 5830, and ES frames have been certified with high load specific glazing configurations to achieve a high design load ratings of 310 – 330 psf to comply with local code requirement for snow loading concerns. Available upon request.
Fall Protection Safety Grids
CrystaLite skylights are designed to withstand environmental forces; however not intended nor designed to withstand human impact and should never be walked upon under any circumstances.
For protection of falling through a skylight opening in the event of a fall, we offer two variations of Safety Grids to provide fall protection.

Our most popular opening skylight frame features a PVC interior. A PVC leg drops down into the light well which provides a flat surface to attach the chain drive Truth opener and aligns flush with interior drywall. The chain passes through a slot in the inner frame which allows the bug screen to cover the entire daylight without interruption. Option for hand crank (Truth angle drive) vs. 6′-10′ pole (Truth straight drive) should be determined at time of order. Screen is standard. Designed for standard 1-1/2″ thick curbing only. High Load glazing available.
Manual and Electrical Opener Hardware and Accessories
Truth Chain Drive
Operated by a pole, or if in reach, a hand crank. Hand crank requires an angle drive unit which differs than the standard straight drive used with the pole. The pole can operate with an angle drive in some installations. Please indicate at time of order. Available in bronze and white.
Dazon Threaded Rods
Operated by a pole that turns the loop or a hand crank model is available. Requires screen with wicket opening.
Truth MARVELTM Operator
The new MarvelTM power operator system proves that simpler can be better. Marvel is a small and sleek motorized system that is simple to install, easy to operate and above all affordable. Available in our most popular operable skylight sizes, as well as a stand alone operator to power your window installations.
Remote
For use with HS and WLS hardware. Operates any number of skylites with 9 different group settings and one that operates ALL. Utilizes radio frequency which allows the signal to pass through thin walls. The remote also offers a temperature control setting.
Truth HS Electrical Chain Drive
Complete concealed unit. Comes with remote and rain sensor standard. Requires 110V to skylite well. Optional wall switch available; does not require a junction box, connects to unit via standard CAT5 cable – supplied by other. Available in bronze and white.
Truth WLS Electrical Chain Drive
WLS kit fastens to our standard Truth Angle Drive. Comes standard with a wall switch and rain sensor. Requires 110V at wall switch and a 24V lead to skylite well. Optional remote available. Available in bronze and white.
