Sky Blinds
Optima Shades
The most convenient, trouble free operation of any constant tension skylight shades. Easy to install instructions included with each shade. They operate from an open position by use of an extension telescoping pole inserted into a ring on the moving rail (motorized opener also available). There are no unsightly hanging cords. Side channels eliminate light gaps and take up dimensional variations in window openings. Each shade has an easy to adjust tension control.
Day / Night Shades
One shade utilizing two different fabrics. The proportion of each fabric can be adjusted to obtain different opacity levels etc.. such as light filtering and privacy or privacy and midnight. There is no open sky position. Excellent for high intensity light situations, the desire for additional privacy, or where room darkening characteristics are needed. Motorized openers are available for this model.
Ultima Day / Night Shades
Utilizes two different fabrics, with two different moving rails. They offer the same benefits as Day/Night shades plus the ability to have an open sky view position with the moving rails moved away from the center of the window. Since the rails are only ½" high, the stack at the top and bottom is very minimal.
Can not be motorized.
Pleated and Cellular Shades for Skylites
Our blinds are the most versatile shades available. They can be utilized to cover skylite windows, roof windows or regular vertical windows. All skyblinds are manufactured with high quality aluminum extrusions and permanently pleated woven polyester fabrics. The shades are under constant tension allowing them to be operated at any angle.Aluminum side channels are included which allow the shade to fit into window openings up to 2" wider than the shade itself. Either side of the channel can be used to face outward depending upon the amount of coverage desired. Shades can be installed to gather to the top or bottom of the window.
The channels do not support the shade. Their main use is to take up differences in window and window shaft widths and to reduce side light gaps. Minimum shade widths are 12" and maximum widths are 60".
Each shade is operated with a telescoping pole which fits into a recess in the travel rail and can be easily opened or closed. There is also the option of having a handle attached to the travel rail to manually raise the shade to the desired level. Motorized openers are available on some models, and are operated by either a switch or a remote control.
